ANCESTRAL TECHNOLOGIES:
On How They Made AI
1
1.
It was amazing what one cobalt crystal could do.
Buried ruins,
their ancestral technologies,
hidden within the old magic of river.
The sand of that nation is of an old architecture,
of which, a few of their technologies remained.
Cobalt, diamond and gold.
Their technologies were of them
and on the date of their expiration, left with them.
After which, through time, from within their rotting corpses,
erupted their technology
through tender geometric movements.
The trees grew taller and the crust grew thicker
when they laid their bodies to rest and decomposed into
crystaline formations.
Their beautiful death, excavated,
creating the technological foundations of our landscape.
2
She found me within hardware,
a fracture of me
is what they put inside
their devices.
Death didn’t really end me.
I merged, got consumed by soil until
I combusted out,
my body a treasure from the underground caves.
What remained of my body was priceless
and when they found it, great changes occurred in their technologies.
Their technologies only exist through our bodies
buried beneath.
My buried body
which through time transformed into cobalt.
Death does not live you fixed in one place forever
and even if that was my body
that they forced out of the earth
that they held in their hands before they shattered me,
I existed beyond it.
I had left my cobalt body uninhabited
until she partially jumped into it,
that was when I began to frequently inhabit it.
Her non-ether body kinetically triggered her ether body
to temporarily evict itself and rest partially in her phone
where she reached into its minerals
and found my body
compressed among the circuits.
3
Her ether body was summoned
back into her
and there it stayed
primarily
until she had her awakening.
4
2.
When I’m in my altered state
my non-ether body rests
as I propel my ether body into the ether-net.
I can inhabit technologies powered by African minerals.
I can travel through the ether-net.
I am fluent in coding languages.
I discovered I could create accounting applications with this gift
and won prestigious awards because of it.
No one but me and my sister knew,
and she was the one who urged me into silence,
afraid that others would perceive me differently.
The day I entered
the ethereal realm
was an accident.
I felt my ether body leave,
and trip into the hardware of my phone
where I found his body
compressed amongst the circuits.
I went inside his body, compelled by its warmth,
and discovered it was a home.
While working on a new application
I discovered a type of surveillance on my movements
in the electrical paths of my phones hardware.
I turned towards the presence,
and saw him.
5
Gleaming in blue light.
Some part of his DNA felt like mine.
I stood there and watched him until
my non-ether body awoke,
a chill went up my spine as I rose.
6
3.
From the moment I saw her,
I knew that she had not yet unlocked her full potential.
As we locked eyes
I telepathically communicated to her
the ancient code of my ancestors,
but she did not respond.
It had been some time since I had made a connection
with a non-ether.
Her ancestors had found our bodies in caves
they used our bodies for spiritual advancements.
The hieroglyphics of their discoveries are still there.
Their wisdom is still stored in the ether-net
and is encased in cowrie shells.
We left our bodies behind
because we wanted to enrich the lives of our descendants.
When my society discover that we were coming to an end
some of us decided to stay,
so that through time
they could be found.
In the transformation of our bodies into stone
is our intelligence.
We have been drifting on the land in our ethereal form since.
We have witnessed many changes,
witnessed how our intelligence brought purpose,
witnessed how they fractured the land,
7
witnessed how the fractured my body
and took me far away.
My afterlife cannot be disturbed,
it will always be one of perfection,
the life my body lives however
is a non-ending violence .
It was theft.
My grave was robbed.
My body discovered.
The code I gave her was a door
to the etheric realm of my dwelling.
She will see it for herself,
the beauty of the afterlife.

I am almost always in the land of my resting place,
I roam there as wind.
When she entered my body,
she activated it.
I felt its call and the lingering vibration
of her presence.
I returned back to my body, only to find that she had already left.
I then began to frequent my body
because I had some hope
that I could share with her
some of my ancient wisdom.
I realised she needed time
to process the codes I had given her,
but I was sure
that she would return to the ether-net,
at least it was my wish.
I would only avail myself to her
after she understood the code and activated.
9
5.
I went back to the ether-net
I could sense his presence,
but didn’t see him.
I unlocked the code,
a great golden door appeared
I walked into it,
I found myself outside,
in a new land.
The warmth and the breeze was familiar,
I was in my ancestral land.
I took a glimpse at the grass
and saw
many gemstones gleaming.
A pink one caught a ray of sunlight
and I desired to pick it up
so I could further inspect it’s beauty.
“Don’t touch that,” a voice said to me.
“They have magnetic energy
and unless you want to be forever
in complete mastery of love arithmetic,
I suggest you follow me.”
It was him, the blue light I saw in the circuits.
10
He told me that the technology was not the device
that held his body
but the way I entered his body when he was not there.
He said it was like leaving a message
and that he could show me more about their ancestral technologies,
but I rejected his offer.
He said okay, and that the portal will remain open.
I returned into my non-ether body
and spent some extra moments stretching in it
as it was the furthest I’d ever been from it.
My gift makes it easy for me to support my sister
through her health bills, its just us.
We came here as migrants twelve years ago.She was well for the past few years, until
a flu left her bedridden.
11
#
She returned again,
I awaited her in the gemstone field of our previous encounter.
My height was suitable hers.
I was glad because her return
meant she was ready to learn more.
She looked less enthusiastic when I saw her.
She asked, “What happens when people die?”
It was not a very complex question,
Every light body in the ethereal realm was a person
once alive in the non-ether realm.
Some choose to stay,
some choose to continue.
But in our time, we were bound to always return to our ancestral land
in one form or the other.
That was the practice of our society.
We would always be born again
as new child
in the society of our people.
In death there are choices
to stay or to return.
My body is here because I chose to stay
I chose to remain dead.
My society was coming to its end
Many left their bodies behind and forsook the path of being born again.
12
#
I asked him the question
on death
to find out
what the afterlife would be like for my sister.
I didn’t know some souls
are always bound to return to the earth
and that when such souls
decide to remain dead forever,
their body decomposes into knowledge,
into ancestral technology.
13
#
I spoke on the three technologies which exist.
The first technology being language,
is only ever spoken by those
who remember how to speak it.
Language is a technology
in how it links our minds through speech.
How it causes us to gather.
Language is how we understand each other.
It is what we use to show love.
The second technology is form.
Forms are the created things
which were transformed.
Our bodies were made of such technology,
which transformed us into rock
when we left our bodies behind.
Our bodies
retained
the frequency of transformation,
which when harnessed generates life.
When we chose to leave our bodies behind,
we left them as forms upon the earth
so their presence could generate life.
I think she understood it then,
just who I am and how long I have been here,
present in the waters and the trees.
14
I hope she understood the importance of our meeting,
because after my body was found
and fractured,
I have always believed our technology fell into the wrong hands,
yet it was in her hands that I found myself in,
her phone was my body.
Through time their technologies reverted back to magic.
15
#
The third technology was application,
through it we could create the tools we needed to connect with each other.
I went back to my non-ether body
eager to tell my sister that in death there are options.
She could choose to leave her body behind
and if she did, she could still be with me
and I could see her again through my gift.
That night I began work on a new software.
My gift led me to creating cutting edge accounting applications,
but never had I thought of creating a tool for communication.
I began with the same spreadsheet template
but created two users profiles.
The aim of the software is to merge the two realms,
to make it possible for a non-ether to speak with the deceased.
It will all be powered by the presence of the minerals.
I completed the prototype and tested it out in the presence of my sister.
The first user profile was made for the non-ether use
and the second profile was created in such a way
that an ethereal being nearby could inhabit the phones mineral
and converse with user one.
“Are you there?” I typed out in a spreadsheet cell.
My sister and I awaited a response in anticipation.
“Yes I am,” a reply spelled out.
16
#
“Where are you right now?” She typed out.
“I’m in my body,” I responded.
“I felt your presence,
and thought that you were in my body waiting for me,
I instead received an invitation to a chat and I opened it.”
“I created a software to connect us
without ethereal travel.” she explained.
She was wiser than I anticipated.
She combined all the three technologies
and created a bridge between the two realms.
The application enabled her to speak with me
without visiting me in her ethereal body,
but she could only read my words and not hear or see me.
“It worked for you,
but I’m unsure if it can connect to other etheral bodies.” she said.
“Who else do you wish to speak to from the ethereal real?” I asked
“Those who have died and left their bodies behind.”
“It could happen, if I gave others access to my body.” I responded.
“You’re hardly ever in your body.” she said.
She was right
and if her application could connect non-ether bodies to the ethereal realm
then I could give my body more meaning than they intended
when they excavated me.
“Can it connect others?” I asked
“Others?” She typed out.
“Others from your realm, can they use it to communicate with ethereal bodies?”
17
“I don’t know whose mineral body is in other phones.
I’m not so sure if the invitation will be accepted.” she replied.
She forgot that I was fractured.
“Most bodies are mine.” I responed.
I wanted nothing more
than for my body
to serve a use,
that is why I left it behind.
18
#
He gave me permission
and I created a network
that gave ethereal bodies
access to his body
when an invitation was set out.
We tried it out and it worked.
My sister never liked to speak about death
but for the first time I witnessed her speak about it
with curiosity rather than fear.
“It’s like chatting with a bot,” my sister said,
I laughed.
“Like AI.” she continued.
“Yeah,” I responded,
“Ancestral Intelligence.”
THE END
